DO MARKS JUDGE?

Does 90 or 60 matter?

Or the thing which actually bothered is people will chatter?

What we learn is actually applicable in life?

Or before the class ends we wait for the bell’s clatter?

Is the richest person a Harvard Graduate?

Or is he an IIT graduate?

The thing which matters the most is

Can you write what you think on the slate.

Not one sheet of paper will decide how successful you are

Nor will your bank statement

What actually decides it

Is your merriment.

Getting less marks than your friend in English

Doesn’t make her a writer

Getting more in Painting

Is neither making you a painter

Student’s cheat, yes they do?

Do you think this is good?

Then why do you value bookish knowledge

More than you should?

You got 95 percent; you should be a science student

What they show seems, but is not prudent

And then the same child fails in Science

And what? No imprudent?

People look for success

But sometimes what hits them in public is failure

There could be someone, who would understand

Not only what matters are marks, but life, call him your savior.
